Description

Two options of starting points: Starting mid-way up Ogden Canyon, this trail can be accessed via a side-canyon (Coldwater Canyon Trail) north of Ogden Peak. The trail then traverses the south side of Ogden Canyon until it reaches the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
Or some start at the 22nd street trailhead in Ogden and follow signage heading east to the shack at the top of the trail and then turn around and return. This trail can also be done car-to-car.

Along the way, there are a few tricky sections—washouts, some re-enforced with retaining walls, some not, some with broken retaining walls. A fun lookout with a wood weather shack at the top makes for a great rest area or photo op. Try to prevent erosion whenever and wherever you can. If you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of the local military jets flying by at eye level.

Beautiful views and flowers on Indian Trail. Lean to at the top of the trail to get out of the elements if necessary.
