“A nice run that follows along the swampy shores of Rowlett Creek just prior to its arrival in Lake Ray Hubbard.”— John Shuttlesworth
Your run takes you behind a sleepy neighborhood that is often times out of sight. Along this trail you'll likely see many different types of wildlife. As it does fall in a floodplain, there can be times where water may be partially or fully covering the trail. Use caution and turn back if the trail is covered. Eventually the trail terminates in a small meadow where you can loop around and retrace your steps back to the parking area.
Overall an excellent run for anyone longing for nature, but is hesitant to leave the city behind. It is a respite of solitude and particularly quiet given it's suburban setting. A great place to run, explore, or cast a line.
