You shouldn't have any problems on this trail. There are a few stairs for the little steeper sections and it's nowhere near as rocky as some of the other trails in Harriman State Park.

The trail begins/ends at the Lake Skannatati Parking Lot and heads up a flight of stairs. It's a decent climb for about the first 1/2 mile and then levels off a bit. This section makes its way around Pine Swamp Mountain, where you can see some of the ruins of Pine Swamp Mine, before continuing west through numerous trail junctions that lead to other attractions within the park.

Overall, this is a good year-round trail as after fall you can get wonderful views of Lake Askoti as you make your way up the first hill.
