Description

This short and mellow yellow-blazed singletrack trail is best used for creating loops within Sam Houston National Forest. You can pick it up from either the orange-blazed Little Lake Creek Loop Trail (LLCL) or from a bend in the Lone Star Hiking Trail immediately to the west of Little Lake Creek Wilderness. Both ends are clearly signed.

Almost exactly in the middle of this trail (e.g. 0.35 miles from either end) you'll cross NF 244 - a forest road closed to vehicles. A small pond near the intersection with LLCL adds some interest to this trail that doesn't actually meet its namesake creek.

Lake at the end of the Sandbranch - There is a bench and is where the trail branches off to the North or goes back to the LSHT.
