This is a rough and poorly maintained trail through a rocky glades area. Significant amounts of poison ivy and ticks are present here in the spring/summer. Rocky Barrens Conservation Area was purchased for the protection of a small mustard plant called Missouri bladderpod (Physaria filiformis), which is on the endangered species list. It is only found in four counties in Missouri.
