Description

A short trail around the conservation area, this trail extends south. Cedar Gap is the second highest recognized point in Missouri, and it shows, with great view of the Ozarks and some very colorful scenery. An active railroad does run by the entrance, and passing trains can be heard throughout the valley.

Cedar Gap is also where the Gasconade River meets Bryant Creek so expect some water crossings after a heavy rain. Some dead trees have also fallen over the trail due to weather. There is an old quarry around 1 mile into the trail which is a nice place to explore.
