Description

The River Bottom Trail can be accessed from either the parking lot behind the information sign (not an obvious trailhead) or from the south end of the Whitt Riverbend Paved Trail.

From the parking lot, the River Bottom Trail stays relatively level and mostly straight while it travels alongside the New River. There are nice views throughout. The trail curls around to the right and up a short hill.

At the top of the hill, the trail turns to asphalt and there is a sign saying "Trailhead". The trail then comes to its terminus with the Whitt Riverbend Paved Trail.

Be sure to be friendly out there and say "hi" to the folks you see!
