This trail is part of the South Trail System along with the Woodland Trail
and the Openfield Trail
. Combined with the North Trail System
, these trails make up the Horse/Bike trail system of the park. Take caution when approaching horses—always announce your presence and stop while the horse passes you.
This section features a beautiful vista of Lake Winnebago, accessed via the Overlook Trail Viewpoint. This trail is also maintained as a cross-country ski path when possible in the winter.
