The trails at Galbraith Mountain are built and maintained by the WMBC - Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition and mountain bikers account for most of the traffic. Runners are still welcome, but many trails are for descending riders only.

Description

Jack and the Beanstalk begins at a mossy intersection off of Pony Express, just after it crosses the descending bike trail Cheech & Chong's Wild Ride. The trail opens with a steady climb as it winds uphill.

The singletrack along this young trail is pleasantly narrow as it heads up through forest and ferns. The grade steepens occasionally, but rocks and roots stay at a minimum and there are only a few rougher spots.

Just past the halfway point, the trail levels out before sweeping down to an artistically crafted cedar bridge. On the other side, the trail winds for a bit before crossing over the descending bike trail 911 trail. As you approach this spot, look and listen for riders.

The trail continues to bob and weave through dark woods with a dash of roots. As the trees pull back, Jack and the Beanstalk comes into a thick patch of ferns that surround the rest of the trail before it shortly ends at Kung Fu Theather.

Head left to follow Kung Fu Theather, or turn right to more quickly reach Road 2000.

Fancy bench near one of the intersections with the 911 Trail. Be careful to head straight instead of down 911.
