Features: Cave — Views — Waterfall — Wildflowers
This is a popular trail. Go on off times if you don't want to be continually passing people or getting stuck behind groups.
There is spacious parking at the Mary Jane Falls Trailhead with a pit toilet facility. The trail is a low grade start on a wide, rocky trail with views of the surrounding canyon walls. The steeper switchbacks start about half mile in. It's like climbing a low-grade set of stairs. You'll be breathing, but not too hard, and there are lots of spots for resting.
Two miles in, you'll reach the falls. In early September, days after a rain storm, water was coming down in several spots. There are also caves to explore and a beautiful view of the canyon as well as great fews of Mt Charleston and the
Cathedral Rock Trail. There are lots of flowers during the spring.
