“Run from the valley floor to the top of Lick Mountain - beautiful hardwood forests and views.”
— Deana Kelley
Open dawn until dusk, gate closes at dusk.
This 7 mile loop follows a long forgotten county road through rhododendron tunnels to the top of Lick Mountain where it meanders along the ridge line for several miles before it makes its way back to the valley and parallels the stream back to the parking area. There are some rugged sections of the trail that traverse some boulders along the ridgeline.
