Description

This 7 mile loop follows a long forgotten county road through rhododendron tunnels to the top of Lick Mountain where it meanders along the ridge line for several miles before it makes its way back to the valley and parallels the stream back to the parking area. There are some rugged sections of the trail that traverse some boulders along the ridgeline.

Great loop off of 81 about 3 hours from Asheville. Super rocky and rooty trail but fun nonetheless with a great field meadow at the end. 7.5mi
