Getting forecast...

A very easy trail, but runners will have to keep alert for some OHV traffic.

Overview

Features: River/Creek — Views — Wildflowers

Runner Notes

Will need to be aware of OHV, and can be rocky with big loose rocks at points.

Description

The trail is nice and wide (obviously to accommodate ATVs) so you can travel side by side to your running buddy. Because this route is shared with those on vehicles, keep your wits about you, and keep an eye out for traffic. There will also be a few places where the path is rutted and rocky.

This trail can be used as one of the approaches to the top of Red Butte. The vast majority of the trail is at a moderate level. During the summer the trail is used a lot by ATVs and Dirt Bikes so be aware of that while running the trail. We did see some fresh bear prints on the trail so take proper precautions.
