Description

Accessible from many points on campus, the most-used point is to run up from the first Twin Lakes intersection on Chesley Creek Loop. The climb is fairly simple and pops you out on a level trail for a minute. After crossing a small drainage coming down from Bryson Hollow, the downhill begins.

You run past Hidden Lake and then hit the first set of rolling hills. Once you cross the gravel road, the trail opens up in a field where you have a nice view of the mountain. You can also access the Interpretive Trail (one mile) here and run either way as it loops right back to this point.

Continuing on through the field, you head back into the woods. When passing through rocks on either side and a small drainage, notice the old rock wall down to your left. Soon you pass another junction (see map) and can head downhill again to Cabin Lake.

Once you see Cabin Lake to your left, continue down until you reach a paved road and the end of Twin Lakes. You can get back on the Chesley Creek Loop at this point.
