Description

The trail starts at the parking lot near the pond in the southeastern corner of Russell Park. It follows along the creekway as it moves in and out of the shade of hardwoods dotted with redbuds and dogwoods.

Around the midway point, just after crossing Sutherland Lane, you make a horseshoe loop around a small park that provides a great place to rest and let the kids enjoy a quick romp on the playground. After the park, the trail continues following the creek ending rather abruptly in a small field just short of Hedgcoxe Road.

Overall, a nice stroll along a wooded creek that mimics the typical greenbelt park design that you find scattered across the majority of DFW suburbs.
