Enjoy yourself. I usually run this starting on the south end and have fun enjoying the views or Red Mountain while running downhill at the northern end. Either run back up the hill or run it in reverse for more hill work.
This is one of my favorite trails in this system for many reasons. It is lightly used and feels nicely remote with good views of the area. There are some challenging areas during the climb for the first 1.25 miles if you run from the northern end. That end tends to be a little more crowded due to its proximity to the parking area off the Granite Trail.
