Runner Notes [Suggest Changes]

This trail has one steep section that can be slippery in wet conditions. Wear appropriate footwear and use caution.

Description [Suggest Changes]

Pig Iron, one of the longest trails in Tannehill Ironworks Historic State Park, is a great intermediate run with scenery that changes as you progress along the trail and just enough elevation change to keep you pushing yourself. Look for small creeks on the north side of the park that only run during rainy weather.

Flora & Fauna [Suggest Changes]

Pine, oak, shrubbery, wildflowers, deer, fox, coyote, squirrels, and chipmunks.
