Description

This is a nice wide trail that starts at the York River Park Visitor Center and heads towards the Woodstock Pond. Early in the run, you'll have views of the pond on the right and the York River on the left. After the pond, the trail gains some elevation and heads through some nature on its way to the connection with the Backbone Trail. Feel free to turn around at any point or return to the visitor center via a right on the Backbone Trail. Another option is to take a shortcut on the .5 mile Beaver Trail that is on the right at the top of the rise after the pond.

Flora & Fauna

Typical Eastern Virginia flora and fauna.
