This is a great trail to train on due to the elevation gain.
The trailhead is located just minutes from the center of Tepoztlán. The trail itself has almost no complexity but in the humid season you´ll have to be careful as the rocks can be slippery.
The route is fairly short, but the grades are consistently quite steep on your way to the top. Even though it's about 3/4 of a mile to the top, you'll still get your heart rate up!
Once you get to the top, you have to pay an admission fee ($3USD) but it is definitely worth it as you can sit by the Aztec Pyramid and enjoy the view.
