Watch for rocks and roots.
Start at the trailhead and head north through a stand of pines. This section of trail winds around a small wetland area, and continues over a footbridge up the ridge above the pond. There are some roots and rocks but overall this is an easy trail.
The trail finishes on a mowed path in a meadow. At that point, you can continue northwest to Alice's Loop Trail
, run around the pond to continue on to South Mary's Trail
, or return to the farmstead and parking area.
Salamanders and frogs can be found in the wetland. Lots of turtles live around the pond. Many visitors have seen deer, turkeys, and ducks on this trail as well.
