Runner Notes

Watch for rocks and roots.

Description

Start at the trailhead and head north through a stand of pines. This section of trail winds around a small wetland area, and continues over a footbridge up the ridge above the pond. There are some roots and rocks but overall this is an easy trail.

The trail finishes on a mowed path in a meadow. At that point, you can continue northwest to Alice's Loop Trail, run around the pond to continue on to South Mary's Trail, or return to the farmstead and parking area.

Flora & Fauna

Salamanders and frogs can be found in the wetland. Lots of turtles live around the pond. Many visitors have seen deer, turkeys, and ducks on this trail as well.
