Entry fees are required for park usage. The park is open from 6 am-8 pm, year-round.

Runner Notes

There are a few service roads and numerous other routes that exist throughout the park and outside it. Please stay on designated trails.

Description

Enjoy a thrilling journey as you explore the Goldmine Mountain range, known for its mining history. The trail connects to the Goldmine Trail near the Goldmine Trailhead and winds along the mountainside to the San Tan Trail near the central part of the park.

Flora & Fauna

The vegetation varies from creosote flats to dense saguaro forests. Various types of wildlife may be observed, including reptiles, birds, mammals and arthropods.

A pretty break in a winter storm, looking directly west of the trail towards San Tan Mountain. This wash is about 0.5 miles from the south end of the Dynamite Trail.
