“Perfect for a short family outing or a longer run on to Granite Lakes for lunch and a bit of elevation gain!

This trail was recently recreated by decommissioning an old forest logging road into a well-built and scenic trail. The trailhead is about 1/4 mile past the Mailbox Peak parking lot and has its own parking area for about 6 cars. The first portion of the trail is a gradual grade as it follows the old logging road. A nice wooden bridge spans Granite Creek. The trail affords views Mt. Teneriffe, Green Mtn. Bessemer Mtn, the Haystack on Mt. Si
, Rattlesnake Mtn among others.
