The trail is closed for elk calving during the winter months.
Description
The trailhead leaves from a residential neighborhood, there is zero parking available, this is foot and bike traffic only and passes through private land. Parking is less than 3 miles away at
Adams Gulch. Also check out "BCRD Summer Trail Link" for parking information. The trail is frequently used for dog walking or mountain bike access to Adam's Gulch. The trail was formerly a doubletrack but has been rehabbed to a wide singletrack with some paralleling side trails that are predominantly used by mountain bikers.
The trail starts by squeezing between private property and a horse corral so please be respectful so this access continues. The trail moves up the valley to a saddle where you have the option to continue straight and go down to Shadyside or
Adams Gulch. The other option is east up a steep trail to the top of the ridge, or to the west on a slightly rougher singletrack loop that has views of Downtown Ketchum.
There is no water in this valley, so do bring your own.
Flora & Fauna
