A great run with views to be had of Merrymeeting Lake and Winnipesaukee. Seek out the cave for a worthwhile side trip!

Overview

A relatively easy, short run with some great views of the area, and an interesting cave and summit to explore.

Description

From the corner of Merrymeeting Lake Rd & North Shore Rd, follow an old logging road. About a mile in, you'll come to a junction, and you'll want to stay right on the road. The road will descend a large hill before bottoming out a beaver pond. At the height of land on the next hill you'll see a woods road on the left. Follow the woods road to the summit of Devil's Den.

For the more adventurous, I recommend seeking out the cave located along the way.

Parking can be found along the side of the road, and do not block the woods/fire road.
