Runner Notes
A few minor stream crossings may get your feet a little wet, but won't be insurmountable.
Description
This trail was intended to be a beginner mountain biking option, a final half of a loop in Flat Hollow, and as pedestrian access to Flat Hollow Arch. It has been constructed with volunteer labor over a winter season. Combined with
Fire on the Mountain and a portion of
Hillbilly Hayduke Trail this trail completes a 1.2 mile loop from Flat Hollow Trailhead.
To maintain an easy-in-difficulty experience this trail can be taken as an out and back. The other trails of the loop are slightly more difficult.
The section along the creek is easy in difficulty with a moderate climb up to the bench that provides access to the view of Flat Hollow Arch. This is a beautiful area that deserves more visitors.
