Runner Notes

As the trail drops elevation, it is pretty tricky footwork with numerous rocks and roots. There are also large steps cut at the very end of the trail before you reach the waterfall and campsite.

Description

The Bluffs Campsite Trail is accessed near the intersection of the Buffalo Creek Trail and Sal Hollow Trail. It is well signed and flat to begin, then drops down to the left in a quick downhill. Take a refreshing splash in the waterfall just before you reach the campsite - you won't be disappointed. The campsite itself is surrounded by beautiful cliffs for exploring.

Return to the Sal Hollow the same way, it's just uphill.

The waterfall on the access trail to the Bluffs Campsite is a worthwhile detour on hot days. And the downhill is steep and fast!
