“A claustrophobic trail, seemingly hidden and tucked below Coopers Rock.”
— Kevin Ketchman
Starting at the eastern terminus, this trail begins near the parking area. Visitors will descend gently at the intersection with Ridge Trail
and Rock City Trail
. When coming from those other trails, visitors will see a small break in the bedrock that marks the start of the Rattlesnake Trail. Moving below the steep bluff, this hidden gem is a great way to escape the crowds of the park.
Although so near the main parking areas, this trail is not heavily traversed by park visitors.
