Overview

The trail snakes through waist high ferns, twists through moss covered boulders, runs alongside and crosses a crystal clear stream, and crosses through a dark creepy swamp. Wow, what more could you ask for!

Need to Know

This trail has short sections that are VERY technical and the safest way to get through them is to walk.

Description

Has running through the woods ever made you feel like a gnome? This trail might. This loop is one of the favorites for the entire series, and it has it all. As the most difficult loop in the relay, competitors can expect to see some significant elevation gain, technical trail segments, and obstacles that will keep things interesting. Along the way, you'll be running up and over boulders, crossing a stream, and trying not to get your shoes wet in the swamp. Though you might be beat after taking on this loop, you won't be bored along the way.

Most of this trail is singletrack but there are some sections of doubletrack.
