Runner Notes

This route is mostly runnable, though it will be a good workout. Avoid the downhill mountain bike specific trail at the top, as riders won't be expecting you.

Description

The Yellow White Connector starts at the corner of the road and is fairly easily navigable for a short distance before it pitches up quickly. Once over the hump, you get a short reprieve before the trail continues up and gets a bit steeper. You'll find plenty of trees to aid in pulling yourself up in the places where the going gets really steep.

The trail is well maintained, and toward the top, it intersects with a trail that is designated for downhill mountain bikers - best to heed the warnings on the signs and not venture there to avoid a collision.

The views through the oak forest are beautiful in the fall, and toward the top, you can catch a glimpse of Birmingham in the distance.
