Description
There are two ways to get to the Nature Trail (pink markers). You can access via the
Geology Trail which will dead end where you can go right or left onto the Nature Trail, or you can access the trail to the left of the facility at the trailhead.
This map marker was accessed at the trailhead to the left of the facility. The trail map says Marian Harnach Nature Trail, but all signage just says "Nature Trail."
It is an easy trail that can be done at a leisurely pace. If taking dogs, there are spots with a good bit of burs that can get in their fur, so be mindful of them wandering too far off trail.
The trail is narrow and mostly singletrack for its entirety. There are several spots where only one person can pass at a time. Scattered on the trail are benches and informative posts that display information about the limestone, foliage, and fauna off the trail.
This would be great for curious kids to take a easy walk while also learning about about their surroundings.
