Description

The Stetattle Creek Trail begins at a small pulloff in Diablo. This trail is rugged and little used. It is mainly used to provide climber access to the areas beyond and is often snow-free early. If you are looking for an adventuresome run, this could be a good choice for you.

The first mile follows the banks of Stetattle Creek and requires some rock scrambling. Enjoy the lush forest carpeted with moss and ferns. The route then climbs steeply (but briefly) into the mature forest. The trail narrows and crosses several side tributaries originating high in the glaciers of McMillan Spires and Davis Peak. The trail becomes less distinct before dwindling to an end at around 3 miles. Do not venture further unless you are prepared for route-finding and cross-country travel.
