Description

Enjoy a beautiful ascent through eastern hardwood forests as you ascend the Kaiser Trail. If you care to visit this area in its prime, come during autumn to see the ridgeline erupt in blankets of orange and red leaves.

Starting at the roadside parking area, head southeast from the road along the trail's moderately graded ascent. Near the top of the climb, the trail levels out near its junction with the Appalachian Trail.

Along the climb, visitors will pass two spur trails off the main Kaiser Trail, which can be used to access the Coppermine Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Eastern hardwoods like the white oak, red maple, and shagbark hickory are abundant along the trail.
