Mueller State Park is home to over 5,000 acres of meadow lands, fed by natural springs, surrounded by forested ridges.

Runners will find remnants of old homesteads along side the smooth rolling trails, and spot large rocks made of Pikes Peak granite throughout the park. Big horn sheep use a part of the park as their calving grounds. The race covers a majority of the trails in the park without having to repeat any of the course. Runners will enjoy running through scenic meadows and forested ridges with amazing views of Pikes Peak.
