Sections of this singletrack trail are very steep and moderately technical. Most of the trail is well compacted and smooth, but be aware of the steeper sections that can occasionally get washed out from wet weather run-off.

Whiskeytown is given a difficult rating as the lower half that connects up with Blueberry should be climbed with caution. Whiskeytown is accessed from either the Blueberry Trail intersection at the bottom or at the top of Moore Mt. at the intersection of the Ridge Trail and Hot Lava.
