CT - Segment 2: South Platte River to Little Scraggy

• Colorado Trail (CT)

The trail starts at the end of CT - Segment 1 along the Platte River. The first quarter of the trail is the majority of the climbing you'll do. After that the trail flattens out for the most part, with a brief stretch of forested area that provides some shade. The final bit of the trail is mostly a flat open meadow where a recent fire burned off much of the trees. There is no water and little shade.
