Overview
A scenic descent from The Hub in Topanga State Park to Will Rogers State Park in Pacific Palisades via the
Backbone Trail.
Runner Notes
Watch out for mountain bikers. This route is a mostly singletrack trail.
Description
This trail begins in Topanga State Park and zigzags down from the Hub to Will Rogers State Park, providing a great route along the ridge. It is part of the eastside trail of the famous
Backbone Trail in California.
At the trailhead, go southeast (down); there will be a sign for Will Rogers in 7.0 miles. Continue on the trail for around 4 miles. You'll come to a junction and will want to stay right (going south).
Merge onto the Will Roger's Inspiration Point Loop trail. Turn left to head up to Inspiration Point. Turning right is the final section of the Backbone trail and leads to the main Will Roger Park building with restrooms and water.
Have fun!
