“The only way into the Haypress Campsite and an easy distance to camp or picnic.”
— Phil DiGirolamo
Take this short trail as an out and back, or as a warm-up if one is heading up the Fox Trail
This trail leads into a side valley that is a designated campground. It is an easy route to access the campground because it is relatively flat. The western canyon wall offers protection from the wind and the grove of Eucalyptus trees give the site a feeling of being out in the wilderness.
Flora & Fauna
Owls and other birds nest in the grove of trees. There are plenty of fence lizards and an occasional bobcat.
