Stay on the trail, please. This park and especially this trail has many runners, so keeping the impact down is as important as ever!

Overview

Head out on this beautifully forested, smooth trail to a breathtaking seashore viewpoint. This out-and-back run gives a little taste of the varying ecosystems that make Acadia National Park unique.

Description

This trail is great for everyone! It is really short and flat, but it takes you to a really nice beach and if you go in the summer you'll find flowers along the majority of the trail.

Start at the trailhead. There is a fairly small parking lot which can be found full the majority of the day. If you continue down the trail, you'll go through the forest for a bit, but then you'll come to a fairly exposed stretch with ropes blocking of either side of the trail. There is little shade here, so for those who burn easily wear your sunscreen! Run just a bit further through another treeline to the beach.

When you have had your fill of the view you can either turn around or take the loop around back to the original trail.

Flora & Fauna

There are lots of pretty flowers along the trail.
