Description

The Farris Creek Trail #409 begins at Cement Creek Road, FSR #740, across from the Cement Creek Guard Station, and ends at Brush Creek Road, FSR #738. The trail climbs quickly to the "Caves". This one-mile run provides great views and exploration opportunities of the Caves.

From above the Caves, the trail climbs through meadows and aspen forests to 10,000 feet; then descends through pine and aspen forests and rocky scree fields to Farris Creek Road, FSR #736. Here it follows Farris Creek Road east and is now open to motorized use, to a steep downhill section. Caution needs to be used when crossing Brush Creek. Once across the creek, a short steep uphill climb awaits you to Brush Creek Road, FSR #738.
