Easy at the bottom, this sun-exposed ridge trail gets REALLY steep up to Native Oak Trail.

Runner Notes

The top half of this trail gets a LOT of downhill mountain bike traffic, so keep your head up!

Description

The trail starts as a wide, easy gravel/dirt road at the bottom. That is followed by a loose, steep, sun-exposed scramble up the ridge to Native Oak Trail. Then stay left and climb a series of rises, each with a steep climax, to the top, but watch for mountain bikes coming downhill through this section, they will be on you faster than you think.

This is a small dirt trail off to the right of the wide gravel/dirt Ahwingna Trail. The wide trail is sun exposed, while the adjacent dirt trail leads into the brush and is mostly shady.
