Though there are some good views along the trail, this section mostly goes along the back side of neighborhoods and is currently (2014) suffering from massive logging to clear the dead pine trees killed by the bark beetles.

The trail is flat and easy, and connects to many nearby excellent trail options. Very convenient for people staying in Frisco. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
