Description

Beano's Hill Climb is a wide dirt maintenance road. From the Red Tail Camp area mid-way up the Beaver Creek Valley, take Beano's initially south towards the base of Grouse Mountain chairlift (chair 10). The trail then switchbacks up the ski run under the Larkspur chairlift, relentlessly gaining elevation. Although Beano's passes between several aspen forests, the trail is mostly out in the open with very little shade. Run past Margie's picnic deck and arrive at the top of the Strawberry Park chair (#12).

The top half of Beano's from the top of Strawberry Park chair to the top of Larkspur is not really recommended unless you simply need a challenging workout. There are no additional trails that can be accessed from the Larkspur summit, although the meadows up here are pretty. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
