The larches light up the valleys and ridges of the Coeur d'Alene Mountains in mid November.
High on East FSR 453 (closed) the hiking is good - great views of the mountains and the pretty larches of mid Novemeber that stand out amongst the dark green conifers.
The forest closes in here. Dark green conifers and bright yellow larches with their soft needles, soon to be dropped as the snows begin to fall.
