Tom Miller Trail has steep sections with built in stairs or roots to help with the climb and thick underbrush at the beginning.
The upper part of Tom Miller trail opens up with the under brush and levels out a little more before exiting (or starting, depending on direction) into a shared parking lot with other trail heads.
Pass many more small waterfalls along Jones Gap Trail to admire than just named ones.
Hillside log stairs help keep the trail together on heavy rains and makes it easier for your descent, or climb depending on which way you are going.
Will have a couple of small easy water crossings in the lower part of the trail.
This is camp #15, #14 looks similar, both with small stream crossings before camp sites along Jones Gap Trail which are only campsites with fire permitted, all are pet friendly campsites in area . Used on solo hike of multi-day loop in Jones and Caesars.
