Sharp bend in the Upper Loop trail. Continuing west up the trail takes you up onto the Ballardini Ranch Spur
Beautiful views of the as you head up and west into the foothills of the Carson Range
The creek is rather small but the banks on either side are steep and can be muddy
The upper loop intersects with a dirt road you must traverse for a very short distance before getting back on loop trail
The trail travels west towards the foothills along a small creek
