Looking up the wash from rest spot. Heading back to trailhead... don't forget to latch the gate at the boundary line.
At the 0.6 mile mark is the boundary line to Saguaro NP. There is a gate. The trail leads to a great place to sit and refuel.
Looking down the canyon from Ernie's Falls view point. Bobcat and deer have been spotted all along here.
The trail will drop as you come to a rock outcropping, to the right will be Ernie's Falls. Water is seasonal.
The trail will start to descend presenting great views of the Tanque Verde Valley and Catalina Mountains.
Vegetation varies from mesquite, ocotillo and creosote, to pricklypear and cholla cactus, to various grasses and flowers.
The trail begins with a slight incline with an assortment of vegetation and wonderful views of the valley.
