The trail will start to descend presenting great views of the Tanque Verde Valley and Catalina Mountains.
Vegetation varies from mesquite, ocotillo and creosote, to pricklypear and cholla cactus, to various grasses and flowers.
The trail begins with a slight incline with an assortment of vegetation and wonderful views of the valley.
Trail to Ernie's Falls starts 2.5 miles in at the intersection of Douglas Springs Trail/Ernie's Falls and Bridal Wreath.
2.5 miles on Douglas Springs Trail to trail signage & intersection. Trail heads south towards mountains.
Looking down the canyon from Ernie's Falls view point. Bobcat and deer have been spotted all along here.
The trail will drop as you come to a rock outcropping, to the right will be Ernie's Falls. Water is seasonal.
