The sun creeps its way along the top of the surrounding hills and mountains, while the canyon stays shaded until later in the day.
The characteristics of the canyon's walls change as you move along the trail.
Most people turn around after the first set of narrows, although the trail continues further up the canyon. A majority of the trail is a gravel wash that makes the trail relatively easy.
Climbing through the wash is fairly easy in the morning, as the canyon is shaded from the sun.
Ready to head back after journeying into Mosaic Canyon.
Side trails lead up from the canyon offering spectacular views for those that want to scramble up (and down) the sides of the mountains.
While there aren't a great deal of flowers in the canyon, some can be spotted at various points along the trail.
