Overview

Observe the night sky with the help of a park ranger and expert volunteer astronomers. Dress warmly. Bring binoculars and a flashlight. The 30-minute program is followed by open viewing. Check the schedule for specific times.

On the Road: This program runs out of the Upper Beaver Meadows parking lot. Take Trail Ridge Rd. to Upper Beaver Meadows Rd. and follow it to the end.

Family Friendly: All ages will appreciate a curated tour of the cosmos from RMNP.

Mostly Dry, Icy - Crossed several small snowfields, biggest was 200 yards across, easy to lose trail. One steep ice/snow/melt 50yards across very hazardous on steep slope. Previous hikers had stomped foot wide path across.
