Description

Second Beach is one of the easiest beaches to hike to in Olympic National Park--only a 0.7 mile hike from the parking lot--but also one of the most spectacular. During the summer, the entire length of the beach can have campsites set up every 50 feet. At low tide, the best tidepools are found around the two large islands off the beach.

Short Run: 0.7 miles along the Second Beach Trail.

Mostly Dry, Fallen Trees - A bit of icy patches on the trail but easily navigable. Upon arrival at the beach, initial part of the coast requires navigating fallen trees, then a pebble beach, before the packed sandy portion. Fun trail with good views of rock formations, an arch, and ocean waves crashing on the shore.
