This is a neat place to watch trains close up, we missed getting a pic of one by a minute...the path is multi-use.

Coastal Protection cannon used during the Civil War.  This cannon was presented to the mayor of Newton for placement in the park.  The park was rededicated from "East Park" to Military Park Oct 4th, 1899.
